At her house, Granny reads to Flo a legend about a local sea monster. On the way home, Ebb’s ball is lost and their dinghy gets stuck on a mud bank.  Ma makes supper while they wait for the tide to turn.  Ebb’s ball bounces in on the tide and Ebb & Bird meet a mysterious new friend. The tide turns and they sail home shadowed by their new friend. A scaly green tail flicks ‘Goodbye’ to them.
